What’s holding back e-bikes?

Poor quality was the problem ten years ago, but that is in the past. 

Now brands the bike shops can trust exist, especially with Shimano and Bosch product fully developed now.  Cheap unreliable kits are still out there, but even in the kit market, dependable brands are winning over bike shop owners.  IMO, sticker shock is still a problem. New to riding, many think a bike of any kind should cost less than $200.
