Using a shared bike to get around, but hate those hills?  Here’s a solution. 

Some bike shares are going electric, others find they need lots of trucks to replace all the bikes to back up the hill.  Here’s a neat device that converts a bike to an electric bike so quick you could use it on borrowed bikes. Now you can bike share, and have an easy ride back up the hills.

Not sure about flying with this, current limits are 100 watt hours batteries in carry on baggage.  They say the battery separates into two sections to meet airline standards.  Ok, and if you fly by yourself?  Perfect for two travelers to carry one.
