The Highland capital gets on its bike

Census data shows 5.6% of trips to work in Inverness are made by bike. 

This makes Inverness the highest rated city for bike commuting in Scotland.  A counting device on the Milburne Road Cycle Route shows an average of 250 uses per day in dry weather.

Keith Masson, Policy Co-ordinator – Climate Change, The Highland Council, said: “If anyone is interested in taking up cycling or wanting to explore Inverness with some additional pedal power a new pilot electric bike hire scheme was launched in Inverness late last year.”
