Schwinn tries to recapture Baby Boomers with electric bikes

Electric bikes utilize a motor which is powered by a rechargeable external battery. This motor allows for extended rides, effortless uphill treks, and a reduction in sweat. Riders of these pedal-assist e-bikes, are still required to pedal, but only at the rate they are comfortable with. The motor has settings controlled by a switch on the handlebar that allows riders to choose the degree to which they are assisted.
