New Pedego Stores Zoom Jet Setters Into Naples

Electric bikes zip around town bringing fun for everyone

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., July 18, 2017 —Two new Pedego® Electric Bikes stores are now open in Naples, Fla., energizing fun for the entire region. Husband-and-wife owners Joe and Maria Britell opened Naples North on Tamiami Trail North and Naples South on Bayshore Drive. Two locations provide double the fun and convenience for the region’s expanding community. The Pedego Naples stores are the 103rd and 104th stores for Pedego Electric Bikes, the Number 1 electric bike brand in the United States.

Joe and Maria are excited to introduce America’s top-selling electric bike brand to Naples beginning July 22, 2017. Free test rides are available as well as sales and rentals of the popular electric bikes. In Nov. 2017, Pedego Naples will celebrate an official Grand Opening with a party that includes free test rides, catered refreshments, music and a wellness fair. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will include VIPs from the Naples Chamber of Commerce and other local dignitaries. All activities will be open to the public.

While making plans for Pedego Naples, the Britells quickly realized that two stores would be needed to meet the demand for the popular Pedego bikes in this growing community. “Our two locations are 11 miles apart,” explained Joe. “The Naples area is large, and we want everyone to discover how much fun it is to go the distance on Pedego electric bikes.”

Naples is ideal for Pedego electric bikes as riders can cruise their choice of scenic rides, including:

  • Gordon River Greenway — Ride the scenic, paved, multi-use nature trail
  • Collier-Seminole State Park Trail — Ride through a pine forest and see Florida wildlife up close on this 3.5 mile, off-road trail
  • Shark Valley Tram Road Trail — Ride through the heart of the Everglades National Park on this 15-mile paved trail
  • Gulf Coast multi-use six-mile path — Experience picturesque views and delightful destinations
  • Gulf Shore Blvd South — Ride to The Naples Beach Hotel for an eight-mile tour of some of Naples’ poshest neighborhoods
  • Pelican Bay Boulevard from Artis to Naples — Pedal along this shady, six-mile pathway

Both Pedego Naples stores offer Pedego electric bikes sales, rentals, tours and a selection of handy accessories. Pedego South will also offer expert repair and maintenance service. A large selection of Pedego models are available for rental with a fleet of Pedego’s cruiser-style Interceptors, sporty Ridge Riders, accessible Boomerangs, fat-tire Trail Trackers, Stretch cargo bikes and sleek City Commuters. Bike tour maps, helmets and locks are included with rentals.

Both locations also sell all 12 Pedego Electric Bikes models that empower riders to zoom up hills and breeze through headwinds. Pedego bikes have a 500-watt hub motor that helps riders cruise distances of 20 to 60 miles without getting tired and sweaty. Riders love Pedego’s California-style cruisers, including the Pedego Platinum Interceptor, a fully loaded cruiser bike; the Pedego Interceptor, which boasts a 48-volt battery that propels riders with extra power; and Pedego’s Comfort Cruiser, which is powered by a 36-volt battery for gentle help with hills. Also available are the sleek City Commuter; the sturdy Stretch cargo bike; the Trail Tracker fat-tire bike for riding on gravel and snow; the Ridge Rider electric mountain bike; and the Latch, an ingenious folding bike, designed for portability and convenience. Pedego also recently introduced the Airstream model for camping devotees.

Joe and Maria discovered Pedego electric bikes after Joe went through an aortic valve replacement in 2014. His surgeon advised him to start moving and keep moving. “I started riding Pedego bikes at Pedego South Norwalk in Connecticut, and I had so much fun while staying fit that I decided to come out of retirement and open Pedego Naples,” said Joe.

“Naples has always attracted a lot of fun-seekers with its miles of unspoiled beauty and exciting destinations,” said Pedego Electric Bikes CEO and co-founder Don DiCostanzo. “With Pedego Naples, North and South, riders are the exciting new jet-set able to ride many more miles around town.”
