Electric bikes may no longer need to be titled under House-approved bill

Yes! It’s really a good news for electric bicycles lovers.

A quirk of the Pennsylvania law that required electric-assist bicycles to be registered despite not having vehicle identification numbers may soon be eliminated.

“Because of these regulations, those who want to own one of these vehicles find themselves in a difficult situation,” said Rep. Seth Grove, R-Dover. “They cannot register the bike because it has no [vehicle identification number], yet several owners have been cited by law enforcement because the bikes have not been registered.” Read full story here.
