E-bike pedaller avoids conviction in Sarnia court

A man representing himself at a trial for driving while disqualified was acquitted in the Sarnia Ontario  court on Tuesday.

The man was disqualified from driving because of previous unpaid fines.  He was stopped because he was seen riding without pedaling, but the rider claimed he did have pedals on the bike.  The police could not provide pictures to prove the pedals had been removed.
